In foodie news this week via Infobae, it seems that our traditional “carritos de choripan” which are the argentine versions of food trucks are about to get an upgrade. Typically working with charcoal grills these new units will include gas grills, yielding a much safer and cleaner cooking and eating environment.
These trucks can be found scattered throughout the city, but their main habitat is the coat line along “costanera Sur”, near and behind the Puerto Madero area. While I have always cautioned people about the health risks of eating at these trucks, it seems that they will soon be something to enjoy in a safe way.

La noticia gastronómica del día me llego por medio de Infobae esta mañana, parece que nuestro tradicional “carritos de choripán”, esto es la versión argentina de un “food truck” al estilo americano, están a punto de lograr una mejora. Por lo general trabajan con parrillas de carbón, y las nuevas unidades incluirán parrillas de gas entre otras utilidades. Esto brindara una forma de cocinar de manera más segura y más limpia para producir y consumir alimentos.
Estos camiones se encuentran dispersos por toda la ciudad, pero su hábitat principal es la avenida bordeando “Costanera Sur”, detrás de la zona de Puerto Madero. Aunque siempre he advertido a la gente sobre los riesgos e comer en estos camiones, parece que pronto va a ser algo para disfrutar en forma segura.
